Biographical notes on Fox and family trees of the Fox, Mason, Williamson, Woolley and Lord families. Diaries MS 1845-1865, 1878, also typescript copies with indexes, compiled by J.S.P. Ramsay. The diaries contain inter alia comment on the social life of the colony, descriptions of voyages on the Emma, Phantom and Mary Catherine, also material on Bishop Selwyn of New Zealand. Came to Australia in 1840. Commanded various ships until 1853 when he took up marine surveying at first on his own, then for the Australian General Assurance Company.
